The Bowflex Revolution uses what it calls Spiraflex resistance technology to deliver smooth yet strong gym-quality resistance that remains consistent through each exercise. SpiraFlex resistance achieves its signature smoothness in part due to the heavy-gauge elastic straps powering its lightweight plates. As an exercise is initiated, the plate's bands tighten around a central pivot coil, creating resistance. This resistance technology combines with a geometrically designed cam to deliver linear, consistent resistance through the entire range of motion.
